Sponsor a Rescue Dog
May people want to help rescue animals but cannot provide care for them personally.  By sponsoring a dog or cat you can make it possible for someone to take in an animal that has the time and means for care but unable to provide for it financially.  Most of the money to rescue dogs comes from the rescuer's  own purse.  Even with donations and adoption fees, unless a rescue is able to receive large grants the money needed to save just one animal can overwhelm a budget.  By sponsoring a dog you are making it possible for a rescuer to accept an animal that they otherwise would have to turn away. You are truly making a difference, even if you never come in direct contact with the animal.

Average Cost $200 - $300

This will include some of the following-

Medical Care
Usually about $80 for the initial treatment.  Most dogs will need antibiotics or some for of medication before they are adopted.  Common medical conditions are physical wounds which usually require antibiotics.  Infections which will require oral medication, ointments, and medicated shampoos. More severe are manage, heartworm, tick fever, and advanced infections. Some dogs may need medication and treatments for life. Often a dog will be pregnant.  A dog may have a handicap and need special care.  If the dog is in our care long enough they will also receive basic vaccinations which run about $40-$50.

Daily Care
Basic everyday needs for a dog are food and water.  We purchase Nurto Max or Royal Canine at $20/$35 a 35lb bag.  We also supplement a new dog's diet with canned food, meat, rice and vegetables, vitamin supplements and of course treats.  Almost all dogs will favor Costco's Kirkland Brand dog biscuits over all others.  We like them them because they are an excellent price and have gloucosimine.

If you are interested in sponsoring a dog we will assess each dog's needs and determine what is needed for that specific dog.  Any donation amount will be counted as sponsorship towards that dog, from a dollar to a food dish, or full financial responsibility.  We appreciate your willingness to care for the animals.
