Bubby
We rescued "Bubby" about 4 months ago from our upstairs neighbors (since evicted),who had "rescued" him from an abusive owner. When we found Bubby upstairs, he was living in complete squalor. He was forced to use the bathroom inside due to his new owners never taking him out. He would be locked out on the deck barking all night to come in and be with his people. This only lasted approximately one week before I went up there and asked to have him. It was agreed upon and we began working with Bubby. He has come a long way but still has plenty of learning to do. He is, after all, still a puppy. He still has accidents but is getting better about letting us know when he needs to go out. Bubby's ideal situation would be a home with a fenced in yard and a child big enough to not get knocked over when he jumps up to play.Bubby needs walks on a regular basis and does well with a schedule. He is curious, high energy and very playful. He loves to give kisses and still chews but is best when he's kept in small rawhide bones, squeaky toys or his favorite:his stuffed sponge bob. At night he enjoys snuggling up under the blankets and occasionally crawls into tiny spaces to feel secure. We are guessing that he was taken from his mother too soon in life. Bubby has skin allergies that may eventually (once he is old enough) require the occasional cortisone shot. For now, his itching is managed through bathing every other night alternating between flee shampoo and oatmeal bath. We also occasionally use children's benadryl as directed by the vet and he is on a flee treatment regiment as well as heartworm prevention for two months now. Bubby is a good dog and will continue to thrive with patience, love and a firm commitment. He has been moved around quite a bit in his short life so he needs stability.
Gina, Owner
Izzy
Izzy has demodectic mange. We almost lost her twice the first year. Since her last recovery in APril 2008, Izzy Bea is doing great. She has a nice thin coat of beautiful brindle fur and her back and head. She loves to sunbathe, chew her nylabone, and snuggle in a newly cleaned blanket every night. She sticks her whole head in the water bowl, so we are guessing she will love to swim when she is all better.
Izzy still has a long way to go before she is fully recovered. She may struggle with the mange the rest of her life. In the meantime - Izzy Bea loves massages, going on walks, and running around the yard. She plays well with most other dogs, but needs a strong personality in a canine sibling, perferrably a male.
Izzy needs a family who can accept her the way she is now as she may never fully get all of her fur back and may always struggle with the mange. She also needs a patient, teachable owner to continue to work with her in overcoming her fear of loud noises.
She needs special care for her mange.

Casey
Casey was found on the side of the road tied to an electric pole. He is a fun loving guy that would do best in a home without young children. He is smart and playful.
Casey loves to go for walks and run around. His talents include riding in the car and going on adventures. When it is time to relax his favorite place is right next to you. He is an excellent TV watching companion.

Zoey
Zoey was found in the bushes by a rescuer. She was very skinny, sick, and infected all over her body. Zoey has dermodectic mange. It makes her itch and leaves small abrassions and scabs all over her. But she is slowly healing and progressing well.
In the meantime Zoey sleeps on the couch and enjoys a daily massage to relieve her dry, flakey, itchy skin. She will nuzzle her head in your hand or curl up next to you - she's a real snuggly girl. She enjoys the companionship of other dogs and people.
Zoey is playful and very well behaved. She chases the ball and loves to wrestle with the other dogs.
Zoey needs special care for her mange.

Anella
Annella is a fun loving, very loyal and protective girl. She wants a home where she can learn to live indoors and be housetrained. She loves one on one attention, a good snooze in the shade, and just being with you. She was rescued with her sister Angel, who, besides al ittle darker shade of tan, could be her twin. Anella gets along with other dogs and people. We want to find her a home where her personality can come out and shine!
Pupuli Kai
Pupuli Kai is the definition of why you should not judge a book by it's cover. Most people are afraid of him when they first see him because he is a pit-bull. But after meeting him and realizing how loving and gentle he is, they fall in love. Pupuli Kai, Puli for short, is one of the kindest and friendliest dogs we have ever had or met. He is so laid back that he has literally had 2 other dogs wrestling around on his head and he just laid there. He is great with children and cats are not an issue with him at all. He is playful but not hyper, unless you ask him to go to the beach. He LOVES the beach! If he could find a home with someone who goes to the beach often he would be in heaven. We've never seen a dog as happy as he is when he's chasing a coconut into the water. He doesn't require a lot of attention, but he likes to cuddle. He knows how to sit, is learning how to stay, he listens very well, and hardly ever barks. If we didn't have to leave we would keep him for our own. Pupuli Kai would fit well in any home.
Coco
Coco is a genuinely happy tease. He knows which dogs to rile up and then, when he has done the job, steps back and barks playfully wagging his tail. He has lots of engery and would love to expend it on a good long run everyday. He is great with insturctions and commands, sensing what I want from him even before I ask. He's very smart!
Coco likes to talk, loves to be snuggly, and is simply a fun guy to have around. Oh, and he is a great alarm!

Herbie
Herbie was born in the wild to a stray momma whom we have yet to catch. We believe she is the sole survivor of her litter. She was rescued with a sibling who didn't make it through the day. But Herbie was lucky and is doing well with excellent health. She looks a lot like Bambi with her sweet little snout, doe eyes and a personality to match.
Herbie potty-trained herself by watching the other dogs. She is smart and loyal and friendly. A well behaved puppy, Herbie tries very hard not to chew things she isn't supposed to. She loves to play but equally enjoys relaxing. Because of her calm demeanor and her inate ability to understand what she needs to do, Herbie would be an excellent hiking or beach companion - always staying with you and following commands.
Herbie girl is really a little "Love Bug" and will win your heart in an instant.

Reily
Reily is about 6 months old and is a very sweet and playful puppy. He loves to play with other dogs and is good with cats and children. He knows how to sit and is learning how to stay and lay down. For the most part he is pretty mellow, except when he is playing. He enjoys cuddling, playing with his toys and hanging out on the couch. Since he is a still a puppy and loves to play he should go to a home that has another dog. He is a wonderful dog and we would consider keeping him, however we are trying not to get anymore pets.
